Welcome to Tailored Learning Academy
At Tailored Learning Academy, students in grades PreK-2 will learn basic math and language arts skills, including reading development and comprehension. Our curriculum provides a hands on approach that encourages social interactions and promotes fun learning experiences. In grades 3-8, students will focus on four core subjects: mathematics, language arts, reading and comprehension, and spelling. We will also complete weekly STEM/science activities and various topics in both history and geography. All students will be assessed to identify their learning style according to the VARK Model. Students will then be provided with curricula and tons of supplemental tools to assist them according to their specific learning style!

Tutoring Services
Pre-Kindergarten
My curriculum and educational sessions revolve around Kindergarten readiness, including knowing the basics: letter & number recognition, colors and shapes, fine motor development and handwriting. I also help students with an understanding of reading comprehension. This includes sight word recognition, synthetic phonics, and handwriting development. Students are assessed to identify strengths and challenges, as well as learning style. Lessons and activities are then tailored to the learning style and needs of each child using a variety of hands on props and manipulatives, as well as technology integration.

Kindergarten-2nd Grade
My educational sessions revolve around introducing and practicing addition and subtraction and other grade-appropriate Math skills. I also focus on handwriting development, reading development, and Students are assessed to identify strengths and challenges, as well as learning style. Lessons and activities are then tailored to the learning style and needs of each child using a variety of hands on props and manipulatives, as well as technology integration.

3rd-8th Grade
My educational sessions are centered around writing development through my Writer’s Workshop. This workshop introduces and reviews the writing process (pre-writing, drafting, editing, and revising), as well as learning how to write a variety of topics (informative essays, opinion essays, narrative writing). We will learn and review the parts of writing and formatting. I also help with Math and homework assistance. These sessions are also tailored to the specific learning style and needs of the students using a number tools and resources to make learning easier.
